What is the aim of 'The Verdict'

The Verdict is an interactive jury experience that puts you in the position of being a juror in a trial without lawyers. You will be asked to question the defendant and to evaluate the evidence. Once your questions have been answered you will have to discuss your thoughts with your fellow jurors. Like in a real jury you will have to make difficult decisions about the uncertainties and the ethics of the case.

Will I have to act or roleplay in this experience?

While interaction is a central element of this experience. But it does not require you to act or roleplay, just be yourself.

Can I participate by myself or do I need a group?

Accepted Answer

Similarly to going to the cinema or to the theatre, you can do it by yourself. In the experience you will be divided in groups of max 12 people. If you come with friends we will try to place you in the same groups (unless you want to split up).

Is this an escape room?

Accepted Answer

No this is not an escape room. There are no puzzles, it is more akin to a highly interactive theatre show. It will require deductive reasoning and problem solving together with your fellow jurors.

Is this a light-hearted murder mystery game?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not recommend to you to play 'The Verdict' if you are looking for an easy fun murder mystery. 'The Verdict' combines the investigative elements of a trial with the uncertainties and dilemmas of being in a jury. The game deals realistically with emotionally heavy themes. It is more a piece of interactive online threatre than a light-hearted game.
